The anomalous router at Jones College has been rebooted and is back in service at this time.  Thank you.
OIT / Network Management has detected an anomaly in one of the redundant routers at Jones College.  We will be rebooting that router at 10:00 AM this morning to collect further log data for analysis.  Users should see no impact to their traffic during this exercise.  Thank you.

The planned changes to the Rice Mail system have been completed.  Please log a service ticket by visiting http://helpdesk.rice.edu or call the Help Desk at x4357 with any issues.
Planned changes to the Rice Mail system will begin at 6:00am.  These changes are needed to tie in RiceMail to the Proofpoint on Demand cloud service, which is being tested as a replacement for Dspam.  No service interruption is anticipated.

Power issue on campus
This morning, at 03:45 (ish), a power event happened on campus.  Most services were unaffected, however, some systems did shut down.  Facilities Engineering and Planning is working to resolve the issue at this time.  An update will be sent when available.  Thank you for your understanding.
