FEP Maintenance complete

Mudd Lab plotters slowed and/or stalled today between 12:20 and 1:30PM, March 28, 2012. Plot jobs sent during this time may not have printed.

IT has located and resolved the problem and all plotters are working properly at this time.

If you received a blank plot job please bring it by the Mudd Help Desk (Mudd 103) and complete a Refund Request Form so any charges for that print job can be removed.

Web Services has mitigated the previously reported problems and the affected web sites and servers are now operating normally.

Web Services received reports of service issues for a limited number of web sites. We are researching the problem and putting in changes to mitigate the issue. Updates will be posted to the IT web site: http://it.rice.edu/

AT&T is scheduled to replace a power supply on their equipment. This replacement is anticipated to take between 20 minutes and 2 hours.

Back up Telco routing will be activated during this replacement time, allowing call processing to critical departments. In addition, there will be no disruption to campus intercom dialing.

An update to IT Alerts will be provided upon completion of this work.

The maintenance on the storage system has been completed. All services have been restored

The preventative maintenance on the storage system will begin shortly. The services will be off line intermittently for approximately 30 minutes.

Preventative maintenance has been scheduled for the file storage system tonight 3/13/2012 at midnight. The service will be unavailable for about 30 minutes during the maintenance. An all clear will be sent out when the maintenance starts and completes.

The OnBase maintenance is complete and the system has been returned to full service.

Tomorrow, Saturday, March 10, OnBase will be offline briefly for updates to the system beginning at 8:00 AM.

OnBase is a campus document imaging system used by several departments. Updates will be posted to the IT web site.
