JIRA - a bug-tracking system used by several departments - is currently not accepting NetID logins.

IT is researching why JIRA is no longer working with the Central Authentication System (CAS).

docs.rice.edu, wiki.rice.edu and issues.rice.edu were all affected by the same critical update begun on May 17 and have been returned to service. JIRA is the only service included in the May 17 update that is not currently responding.

If you notice any further issues with any of these services, please report the problem to the IT Help Desk: helpdesk@rice.edu or 713.348.4357.

Updates will be posted to the IT web site.

The services docs.rice.edu, wiki.rice.edu and issues.rice.edu are now back online after being upgraded to the newest version because of a security vulnerability.

The main content is available in all of these sites however there may be issues with plugins and other configuration options that will need to be fixed this week.

Currently CAS authentication is NOT working for JIRA, the issue tracking software.  You may still login to JIRA but will be prompted with the application login page.

We will be trying to find a fix for this next week.

The services docs.rice.edu, wiki.rice.edu and issue.rice.edu will be offline until the current security vulnerability can be resolved. IT expects these services will be offline for the next 30 hours for this emergency maintenance.

On Friday morning, IT will be installing a required security patch for these services: docs.rice.edu, wiki.rice.edu and issues.rice.edu.

These services will be intermittently unavailable during the day on Friday, May 18, 2012.

Updates will be posted to the IT web site: it.rice.edu
