The Mudd Color Printer has been repaired and placed back into service as of 1/9/2013 at 4:00 PM.

IT is performing load balancing work this week on the Rice mail servers. A number of Rice email accounts are included in each night's maintenance.

The nightly maintenance window begins shortly after midnight and may last until 4:00 AM.

No service interruptions are anticipated. If you are working your email when your account is moved between midnight and 4AM, you may experience slow speeds for a few minutes.

Updates will be posted to the IT web site: it.rice.edu

The Mudd Color printer died over night and a replacement part is due to arrive tomorrow that will hopefully revive it. In the interim if you need to print color, there are color printers in the Ravl (Anderson Hall) Architecture lab on the 2nd floor.

IT has received reports of problems with the Mudd color printer, used primarily by students. Jobs sent to the printer are not actually printing.

IT is researching the problem and updates will be posted to the IT web page: it.rice.edu
