IT noticed a time stamp discrepancy between the submission form for posting of IT-Alerts announcements and the system that publishes the updates on various web sites and mailing lists.  The discrepancy of only a few seconds is enough to reject the announcements when they are submitted.  IT will use other communication channels to report critical system updates to the Rice community members who subscribed to the IT-Alerts channel.  Updates will be posted in docs.rice.edu
