IT Alerts, a communication channel created at the request of faculty, is used to publish IT system maintenance and performance updates. The form used to submit IT-Alerts announcements is inconsistently producing error messages rather than publishing announcements, so IT is using docs.rice.edu blog posts as a work around. Rice faculty and staff who subscribed to the IT-Alerts mailing list will still receive alerts, the IT web site will still display alerts, and we anticipate no interruption to the announcement channel.
