The research computing cluster known as STIC remains offline through today for major maintenance, scheduled July 28 through August 1. STIC, the Shared, Tightly-Integrated Computing cluster, is being returned to service tonight.
One of the changes to STIC includes a new job scheduler - the Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management or SLURM.
SLURM replaces the current job scheduler known as Torque/MOAB. Any STIC user who missed the previous training sessions on SLURM can register for a final overview held on Monday , August 4. STIC users can also request one-on-one assistance scheduling their first job with SLURM. RSVP for the August 4 Overview using the Rice Google form: http://goo.gl/AW8yUS.
