Today's maintenance on Storage, Crate and RNAS is complete.

Please contact the Help Desk (x4357) if any issues need to be addressed.

OIT will perform a series of rolling reboots across three storage solutions beginning at 8:30am

Storage.rice.edu (individual storage and department shared storage)
Crate (scratch storage space for researchers)
RNAS (storage solution purchased by departments for archival storage, not research related)

These services will remain online for most of the rolling reboot.

Expect intermittent connection interruptions.

IT Networking has completed maintenance on the network switches in the Mudd building.  Connectivity has been restored.  It is recommended that users reboot their workstations.  Please contact the Help Desk (x4357) with any issues.

IT Networking will be performing maintenance on the network switches in the Mudd building.  Network connectivity in the Mudd building will be intermittent during this time.  Notification will be sent when the work has been completed.

Network connectivity in McMurtry College has been restored. Please contact the Help Desk (x4357) with any further issues.

One of the network switches in McMurtry college is experiencing connectivity problems.  Users on the East wing of the 2nd and 3rd floors may experience intermittent connectivity. Networking is investigating and will provide an update as soon as possible.

The Office of Information Technology / Technical Services  will be performing network access switch upgrades this week in Allen Center network closets (schedule below) on the 10th and 11th of November, 2015 starting at 6:00 PM each day.  Users will experience intermittent connectivity (both wired and wireless) during this exercise, and WILL need to reboot ALL devices (computers, printers, scanners, etc.) upon completion to ensure connectivity.  Thank you for your understanding.

At 10:40 am today (11/4/15), we started seeing issues with Google Calendar.  Google is currently investigating the issue.  As new information arrives from Google, we will send out a status.
