Campus Internet services were restored at 9:14 pm central time just after the earlier OIT-Alert was sent. Further investigation and research by the Networking and Security teams has confirmed that services were disrupted stating at 8:59 pm, so the full disruption was 15 minutes.
The root cause of the problem is still being investigated, but it has been confirmed to be related to the scheduled maintenance that was being performed on some Internet security systems this evening.
At this point, we believe that all systems are performing properly.
