This Saturday morning (5/7), at 2:30 am, users of the Rice campus telephone system will experience deprecated service, affecting ten digit dialing to/from campus. These services will be restored to full capabilities by 4:30am. All internal campus dialing will be unaffected.
Rice critical services (RUPD, EHS, Student Counseling, BRC front desk, South/Central Plant and OIT Operations) will have alternative routing in place during this time, allowing receipt of inbound ten digit calls to these departments. Cell phones will be used for outbound ten digit calls. Again, all campus four digit dialing is unaffected.
