Google Calendar appears to be available for most, if not all all, of the Rice Community; however, Google has not yet officially stated the service is fully back online.

At about 8:45 am today (6/30/16), we started seeing issues with Google Calendar where you may see the following error message...

 

 

 

Google is currently investigating the issue.  As new information arrives from Google, we will send out a status.

Be aware of the phishing email with the following characteristics...

From: Rice Administrator

Subject: You Have One Important Notification!!


Do not respond or take action on this phishing message other than deleting the message.  Phishing is an attempt to criminally and fraudulently acquire private information, such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details by masquerading as trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Rice OIT will never ask for your User ID or password via email. 

If you suspect that you have received one of these messages and need assistance in disposing of the message or if you accidentally responded to the phishing message, change your password.  If you need additional assistance, contact the Help Desk: helpdesk@rice.edu or 713.348.4357.

Planned network maintenance for Lovett college has begun.  Users may experience a brief loss of connectivity while we are transitioning to new up-link connections.  There should be no need for a reboot of your device.  An update will be sent when complete.  Thank you.

One of the network switch in PDC Pod-A rebooted due to memory error. The system recovered properly. We'll continue to investigate as for the root cause. Please contact the Helpdesk if you see any other issue.
