ISSUE: SSH Login to CLEAR

Users are unable to SSH Login to CLEAR.  The Admin is currently investigating this issue. Updates will be posted online:  it.rice.edu

OIT Technical Services has completed the network switch replacement. Network services have been restored. Please contact the Help Desk (x4357) with any issue.

OIT Technical Services is replacing one of the network switches on the 3rd floor of the graduate apartments. Network connectivity in that area will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes. Notification will be sent at completion.

Facilities has completed their maintenance in Keith Wiess. Network connectivity has been restored. Please contact the Help Desk (x4357) with any issues.

All networking at the graduate apartments appears to be back online at this time.  Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.  If you experience connectivity issues, please contact the OIT Help Desk (help@rice.edu, or 713-348-4357, xHELP).

 

OIT Networking has detected a network failure for the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Graduate Apartments on Bissonnet.  Both wired and wireless connections appear to be down a this time.  Intermittent connectivity will be observed during our investigation and troubleshooting in our effort to fully restore connectivity.  Thank you for your patience.

The failing component has been replaced with a spare unit.  All normal operations and connectivity should be restored at this time.  Thank you for your patience and please contact the Help Desk (713-348-4357) if you continue to experience connectivity issues.

The network switch on the 5th floor of Sid Richardson College is having memory issues, that may cause users to be unable to log into the network on the wired side at this time.  Wireless does not seem to be impacted at this time.  We in OIT Networking/Technical Services are working on a replacement and will have it out as soon as possible.  Thank you for your understanding.
