Rice Webmail maintenance is complete.  If you notice issues with Webmail, please contact the IT Help Desk: 713.348.4357 or helpdesk@rice.edu.

The scheduled maintenance for Rice Webmail (https://webmail.rice.edu) will begin at 6:00am.  During this time, the Webmail interface to the RiceMail system will not be available.  This will not affect the mail system itself or other mail clients.  An update will be posted once the maintenance is complete.

OIT Networking will be performing maintenance on the network switch that provides connectivity to the PDC offices. During this time, network connectivity will be intermittent. Notification will be sent at completion.

The Canvas support engineers have resolved the connectivity issues with Canvas.

Canvas is currently experiencing issues. People are either unable to connect or are experiencing very long load times.  The Canvas engineers are currently working to resolve the issue.  As the status changes, we will post updates here.

There was a brief Email service disruption at 8:30am due to a hardware issue. It was quickly resolved and the services are back onlline. Please report any problems to the Helpdesk. (x4357).

Cable TV service provider Phonoscope located a fiber cut and was re-spliced last night. They are still working on restoring cable TV service. No estimated time of repair available.

Rice Networking confirmed earlier today that Phonoscope cable TV services are impacted on campus due to a service provider issue. Phonoscope is aware of the situation and is investigating.
