At around 3:00pm today (10/26/15) , one of the redundant systems that provides services for connecting to the network, logging into servers, and accessing systems with friendly names (i.e.,, etc.) crashed late today.  Even though it is redundant, the nature of the failure caused the services to perform in an inconsistent manner resulting in the inability to access some systems or access our network altogether.  As of 4:20pm, we restored the redundant system to working status so all services should now be fully available.
