OIT Networking is performing emergency maintenance on the network switches covering most of the campus but excluding residential locations. During this time, network connectivity will be intermittent.

OIT will perform maintenance on the campus storage systems beginning at 10:00pm this evening (Friday, August 17th).  During this work there will be brief intermittent delays in accessing files on storage.rice.edu. A notification will be sent at the completion of the work.

The issue with webmail.rice.edu has been resolved.

Some Rice faculty, staff, and graduate students are experiencing issues with Rice Webmail. Rice OIT is currently  investigating and will update as soon as possible.

A network switch on the second floor of the Bioscience Collaborative Center rebooted affecting wired and wireless network services for a portion of the second floor.

 

Network services are back up. Kindly contact the Helpdesk at x4357 if you continue to have problems.

The planned wireless network maintenance will begin at 9pm. During this period, users will experience intermittent connectivity as we perform this work. An update will be sent when complete.

OIT Active Directory maintenance is complete.

OIT will be performing maintenance on Active Directory beginning at 6:00 AM. Active Directory will be available during the maintenance window. Maintenance will occur in such a way that the service to users should not be affected.
